welcome to another blog post! <33 how are we today? good? good :)

as some of you might've noticed, i updated the homepage to feature a little blurb of informtion about an upcoming event that i have had the honor of co-hosting.

INTRODUCING... THE SUMMER OF PEACE MUSIC FESTIVAL!

the summer of peace is a music festival that will be featuring a number of artistic or musical acts, the main one being myself. the purpose of the music festival is to bring awareness of the power of community peace, quality music, unity and love in the philadelphia area, promoting a message of spending your freetime to do positive things rather than negatives. as we know, the gun violence epidemic has led to a number of untimely deaths in philadelphia. i believe that music is extremely influential, especially to young minds. the graphic violence that is described and normalized in mainstream media is what i believe is the root of many gun-related assults in our city.

however, with my knowledge of the power of music, i promote the idea of creating music with meaning. music that matters. i know that if someone from our generation decides to take a stand and turn a new leaf in the music industry, it can lead to a massive creative turnover in the media, resulting in much more positive outcomes.

therefore, i have decided to participate in co-hosting the Summer of Peace Music Festival, bringing awareness to the rebirth of meaningful music, all while having a fun time in the midst of good food, good vibes, and good music. the Summer of Peace Music Festival will shine a light on aspiring artists who wish to promote a positive message through their creativity, giving our city a chance to remind everyone that we are in fact a city of brotherly love, and that good music still exists today.

being so, we invite artists of any persuit--be it visual or musical--to join us in our walk of peace in the city of Philadelphia, spreading the message of postivity through the art of sound and sight. in order to sign up as a performing act for the Summer of Peace Music Festival, simply express your interest via instagram, the official chrysalix email, or through any other website source. a simple sign up link will be added to the website in due time, so be sure to check back for any updates. for more information, feel free to leave a comment on this blog post or send me a DM on instagram inquiring about participation.

The Summer of Peace Music Festival will be held on JUNE 20th, 2025.

The event will consist of performances done by musical or visual artists (conducted by none other than CHRYSALIX herself), refreshments provided by Arise Bakery MBP Catering, and entertainment that varies from potato sack racing, cup pong, bean bag tosses, and a prize winning match of Guess That Song. And last but not least, the Summer of Peace closing event will feature a live performance of CHRYSALIX's debut album, which will not be disclosed until further notice.

Again, the Summer of Peace Music Festival will be held on JUNE 20th, 2025. the location for the event will be revealed via my instagram, @chrysscherub.
